“Felicity’s teaching is brave, honest and refreshing.
She has gems of wisdom from her years of diverse experience. What I loved most about learning from her is her insights into our unique role as birth workers. She’s someone that understands the subtleties of birth, the nuance of the birth world, combined with a deep trust in women’s ability to birth.”
Esme Shea - Birthkeeper, Devon, UK

“Felicity offering herself to the birth community is like a soothing balm to the heart, knowing we have a woman with her background, experience and conviction to learn from - I feel deep gratitude to have had the opportunity to sit in her classes and receive from her embodied service to women.
The spectrum of what she covers is diverse, deep, practical, richly educational, full of connection and care.”

Meet felicity.
Felicity is a mother, former midwife and experienced birthkeeper outside of the medical system. Her work with women in birth spans 12 years, where she went from clinically managing the birth process as a medical professional, to supporting women wanting to be lovingly witnessed by a birth-wise woman who would support them to birth at home, on their terms.
Believing that talented birth workers deserved to feel easeful and confident when speaking about freebirth and feeling grounded in the in-person freebirth space, Felicity set out to provide support that would create tangible shifts for women facing their freebirth fears and has created impactful and heart-felt mentorship offerings for women and birth workers all over the globe.
Felicity also hosts the popular Sovereign Pregnancy Podcast, where pregnant women from all walks of life share their personal and transformative experiences of stepping away from the routine practices of the medical system, as well as returning to share their freebirth stories, no matter how they unfold.
After stepping into the world of supporting birth outside the system, despite my palpable passion and belief in women’s birthing abilities, I soon realised that years of witnessing medically managed birth, living in a culture of blame and liability, meant my unexplored, deep-seeded fears were leaching into my work with women - EVEN THOUGH I was already supporting freebirths regularly.
I finally committed to the loving support required to explore and move through my own fears, so that the support I gave women became more grounded, effective and rooted in integrity and understanding.
As the years in this work went on and the maternity system continued to become increasingly restrictive, more and more talented Doulas and Birthkeepers were expressing a deep desire to be able to support women choosing freebirth, but found themselves held back by their fears. Fears created by a medical culture of blame, drama-driven management of birth emergencies and lack of personalised, relatable birthworker mentors experienced in this work.
The thing I know from working with women outside the system is that supporting freebirth does not have to feel this heavy.
I believe that invaluable holistic birth workers like you deserve to feel easeful and confident when preparing your clients for their option to freebirth and feel excited about witnessing women in their autonomous birth space.
This is why I am so excited to have created this program! I want to support you to create tangible shifts in your freebirth fears, to share with you my first-hand experience and tools to help you serve women with a sense of peace and self-belief.
This work CAN feel easeful. You CAN have conversations with women that prepare them fully, build trust and also bring you a sense of calm. Most importantly, it IS possible to shift from a place of hyper-vigilance to simply sinking into the magic of witnessing birth undisturbed, all while supporting a woman to stay at the centre of her decision making and experience.
Much like the birthing women you serve, you deserve support when diving into new and expansive work. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
“Felicity is great and shares so many of her tricks of the trade. She’s confident, clear and engaging in what she teaches. She makes you feel at ease and like you can ask any question. So many women supporting birth outside the system would benefit from working with her.”
Rosemary, Women’s Circle Mentor, Canada
What will the ‘Support Freebirth Without Fear’ program look like?
The 7 week live program will be held weekly, with a total of seven 90-minute live sessions. Each session will be a discussion and reflective space for unpacking a specific fear that is crucial to serving women birthing outside the system. The sessions have been designed so that you leave each one with a tangible feeling of relief and clarity, as well as practical tools to support your work and deeper fear processing in the future. There will be time to ask questions in every session, as well as lifetime access* to recorded practices each week lead by Somatic Practitioner and Birthworker, Fiona Sears of Ether and Bone.
Week 1 - Connection and orientation week
An opportunity to connect with the fellow women in the program, to share where you’re at and where you hope to experience shifts in this work. To discuss housekeeping and get the lay of the land for the weeks ahead.
Week 2 - The fear of saying it outloud
The harsh inner-critic and judgment from others in the birth world stops most Doulas and Birthworkers from being able to be vulnerable and open up about fears they have about this unique work. In a judgement free circle, we will take the opportunity to name out-loud our deepest fears about supporting freebirth to get to the route of what’s holding us back. We will sink into being with a group of women who not only understand our fears but have been longing to get them off their chests too. This sessions honours the courage and strength it takes to be vulnerable with our peers, so that the exploration can begin.
Week 3 - The fear of getting in trouble
Society at large, does not culturally approve of or condone the choice to freebirth. This creates insidious fears within Birthworkers that they too are disapproved of and will be punished for the support they give women. How much of this is perception and how much is truth? What does “getting in trouble” actually mean and look like for you in this work? In this session we will explore the law (as it relates to the UK), how to take effective (not reactive) steps to protect yourself whilst not compromising on cultivating trust between you and your clients.
Week 4 - The fear of birth emergencies (part 1)
Doulas and Birthworkers often get lost in what feels like complex and detailed teachings on how to support birth emergencies if they happen. It creates feelings of overwhelm and fear about not having medical professionals present. But the way you - a non-medical person - can support a woman with first aid in these situations is shockingly simple. This session covers the practical steps that you can take to support a mother and baby whilst help is on the way or even better - support a mother to resolve issues at home BEFORE it even becomes an emergency. This week will contain lifetime access* to recorded sessions about the first aid support of: Large Blood Loss, Placental Abruption, Uterine Rupture, Cord Prolapse, as well as the live session for deeper exploration and questions.
* life of business
Week 5 - The fear of birth emergencies (part 2)
This week will contain lifetime access* recorded session about first aid support of; Breech Birth, Shoulder Dystocia, Supporting Baby’s First Breaths, as well as the live session for exploration and questions. You will leave these two weeks feeling calmer and more competent on how to be helpful in a birth emergency.
Week 6 - The fear of the unexpected outcomes
You want to be able to continue giving a woman incredible support during her motherhood journey, even if the unexpected happens. Whether that’s freebirth transfer to hospital, an unwell mother and baby postnatally, trauma processing after freebirth, social services referrals or the worst of all outcomes. You will leave this session with knowledge of how to have loving, judgement free, important conversations with women in pregnancy about preparation for all possibilities. You will feel less fear about how you can offer continued, grounded, helpful and compassionate support to women in these circumstance.
Week 7 - Reflective practice
A chance to see how far you’ve come and how much your fears have shifted. A chance to look together to your future in this work and tools you have gained to tend to your fears in a sustainable and effective way, allowing you to serve your clients who choose an autonomous birth exactly how you love and want to.
Also includes:
Private Telegram group for connection and questions outside of the live sessions, open for 4 months after the course.
Replays of live sessions each week for catch up
Two live BONUSES to be announced shortly
Exclusive access to further mentorship options and 1:1 work with me (only available to birthworkers who take the program)
“After attending Felicity’s sessions on Birth Emergency First Aid, I feel significantly more confident in my ability to respond effectively in a real emergency.
Her sessions were not just theoretical - they were practical, easy to understand and truly empowering. Felicity has a gift for explaining complex situations in a way that feels clear, grounded and doable, even under pressure.
After working with her, I felt supported and capable of staying calm when it matters most.”
